The Partnership Between The Broward County Sheriff’s Office (BSO) and Vector Fleet Management, LLC

Vector Fleet Management has recently entered into a multi-year agreement to provide dedicated fleet management and maintenance services for the Broward County Sheriff’s fleet, based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This is one of the largest police fleet maintenance contracts in the country valued at approximately $4M per year.

The partnership between the Broward County Sheriff’s Office (BSO) and Vector Fleet Management, LLC is designed to improve service levels and provide greater accountability for the maintenance of the County’s fleet of 2,800+ pursuit, patrol and administrative support vehicles. BSO transitioned to Vector Fleet Management on December 19, 2016. The County Sheriff Department had previously engaged with the private sector to provide these services, however this agreement represents a step change in raising the Key Performance Indicators of the fleet maintenance contractor to meet or exceed the expectations of the County Sheriff Department.
